Planned-Post Edit

{Me in my Black Skirt}

They were in love.
If you did not know this, you had to be blind,
it had been obvious since the seventh grade, and they
were now about to graduate from High School.

They had the whole future planned out for each other,
they were both accepted into Harvard,
and they were going to start in September.
After they graduated, they were going to get married.

They were both the most beautiful people in the world.
He was very, very blonde, and
she was very, very brunette.
He was tall, she was short.

All of their friends were insanely jealous,
for he was the guy everyone wanted.
Everyone had wanted him since the first grade, and
she had him.

He had been her first kiss, and
they had been childhood friends.
Their families got together perfectly.

It was all perfect.

Until, one day, right after their graduation,
she caught him cheating on her,
with her best friend.

They always say that the forbidden fruit
 tastes the sweetest, but
he went a little too far.

Distraught, she sought comfort from his best friend,
 and her best friend,
as well.
They met at his house,
and he pulled her into his arms.
She cried the whole night, and
ignored any of his phone calls.

At midnight,
he kissed her.

She kissed him back.

They were also childhood friends, and
in middle school,
they were the best of friends, along
with her cheating boyfriend.

In the morning,
she woke up to see him looking at her.
She was never the most confident,
and he looked at her like she was the only thing that mattered.

She went to her house, and found her cheating boyfriend
sitting on the couch.
He knew that she saw what he did, and apologized.
They broke up,
but they hugged and decided to still be friends.

In September, they all went to Harvard.
They were loving college, and were
both going out with people.

They still loved each other, but it was more a
sister/brother kind of love.

Their stories end up happy,
they both married the people of their dreams.
They remained friends, and
were taught many lessons through
their relationship.

1) I would just like to clarify something... the blonde boy {the one who cheated on her} and the girl did not end up getting married.

2) I have postponed the Seven Days of Blogging... for all of you that might have read that post.

3) Have you read this yet? It makes me not take anything for granted.

4) Who liked this poem? It was certainly one of my favorites to write, even thought it took almost two hours to write.

5) Who enjoyed Twilight on Saturday? I certainly did!

6) I found this quote, and it goes along with this post quite well, I believe.

" We must be willing to let go of the life we have planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us."
~ E.M. Forster
